What Simply Counting Out Loud Can Lead To :o)

Now that I was in a Mandarin Chinese course on a blue Monday some time 1998, I was practicing Chinese characters when I got to 十 (ten). Not thinking much of it, I started playing with it to count the brushstrokes out loud and placing the consecutive numerals at the ends of lines.
Subsequently, however, to extend my count to 10, I thought to visually double the character (十+十), sliding the strokes over one another. What emerged was the hashtag #, or now more temptingly the ancient character for a water well: Jing 井.
What caught my attention is that somehow in numbering the lines 1-10, if only casually as an optical panorama, the underlying math grids of Luoshu and Hetu Yellow River Map seemed to emerge, as if all the time it had been waiting just gracefully for being noticed.
None of this of course for any practical application even remotely, while there is no factual relationship with Hetu, just fun as a pastime on a lost weekday Sunday, especially if for the occasion you saw it revealed yet other patterns.
If nonetheless we write a) the Chinese character for 10 十, we may count b) the ends of the horizontal line as 1 and 2, the ends of the vertical line c) as 3 and 4, then take a rest at the centre as 5, while further on we will build on this principle so that we may take the same to the Chinese character for a well Jing 井 (Yi Jing 易經 48).
If we then build on the already obtained 1-5, we can proceed with 6-10 for the second image, then everything conjoined.
I like how a Chinese character takes 3D, continuity and duration, just as in Daoism beginning and end do not occur, until 十 would almost invite to 井, if only to be able to continue counting through the doubled character, then lead the image to ultimate perfection.
But, there’s a ‘but’…
While I doubled and merged 10 十+十 to arrive at #, I stuck to
the already started line order, or it wouldn’t eventually have fit
1-6, 2-7, 3-8, 4-9 and 5-10 for Hetu Yellow River Map, while 井 of
course follows a stroke order of its own, so I’ll ask you a favor.
Incidently, no matter if we were to tilt one 90 degrees counterclockwise or the other 90 degrees clockwise, even then – if only visually – arrangements seem to coincide.
Stars or numbers
At the same time I believe of course – as I always stress this in class – that it must be observed the strict distinction when the range 1-9 were to signify 9 Stars, then when ‘numbers’.
Now that on the one hand 9 Stars, Luoshu 洛書, Hetu 河圖 and Kanagi Guruma 神名木車 (Jap. かなぎぐるま) undeniably follow military mathematical order, in itself number 1, 2, 3 and so on adhere to precise mathematical vectors, until raw arithmetic numbers could not be mistaken for 9 Stars, something which we may have seen more and more since the 1990s.
On we go with our character for 十, if you will 井, as one thing leads to another, until a swift wink proposes relationships commonly attributed to Luoshu and Hetu, such as for the Hetu Pairings 1-6; 2-7; 3-8, 4-9 and 5-10, then Add to Ten widely in use also in Flying Star Feng Shui 飛星風水, albeit not applicable in 9 Ki Divination 九宮占卜 or Nine Star Ki Astrology 九星命理.
Did you get to see Hetu for the Great Year…?
So again, nothing in a practical sense or for application, but still nice to be able and show you, while speaking of images concealing hidden messages:
… there is still a lot to say about Hetu Yellow River Map, while this time sound and exactly as stated in Hetu and the Great Year, until we could only – if not already – marvel all the more at the absurd cosmological know-how of those ancient astronomers, mathematicians and physicists.
Jing
Even once it were acquired a no doubt far-fetched Chinese character of 井 from the Chinese character for 10 as in 十 doubled, while from that obtained an even more daring – arbitrary of course – resemblance to Luoshu, there is a certain symbolic meaning to Luoshu, if it means that Luoshu is often given as ‘River Luo Map’, as there it is emphasized a ‘body of water’.
Water is deep, inherently inexhaustible, it is reflective, fluent and perpetual in motion, which is the whole idea behind Luoshu: to give a see-through into reality.
Never ceases to amaze…
This connection between 9 Stars and Luoshu and physics reality is how after 40 years with 9 Ki Divination for 9 Stars and Luoshu event forecasting, I am still overwhelmed each time in seeing the annual- and monthly Luoshu Star configuration reflected in the news media as just moving images from straight ahead.
